The typical choir season is 10 months (August through May) with a 2-month summer break:
-Minimum age is 50. We rehearse each Monday, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
-The majority of our concerts are in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, with a few out-of- town road trips for variety.
-We sing several Fall and Spring concerts with new music each season.
-We sing a mix of familiar gospel and secular music. Much of our music is arranged specifically for our choir.
-We are offered the opportunity to take leisure trips just for fun or to sing and have fun, both in the USA and international locations. Trips are not obligatory, but do strenghthen fellowship.
-You do NOT have to audition NOR read music. Some of us sing in other choirs, many do not.
-Dues are $10.00 monthly, and choir members do purchase their choir apparel.
-Fund-raisers are one way that we offset some of the costs as our budget is limited. Our concerts are usually free, but love offerings and donations are accepted.
-If you love music and good, Christian fellowship, this organization is the one for you! You will find it to be a friendly, loving group of people who love the Lord and enjoy singing to His Glory.
Silver Serenaders of Texas is an inter-denominational Christian group. We rehearse at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 265 Pleasant Run Road in Cedar Hill, TX 75104.
