Inaugural Fund Raising Cruise to Alaska - June 2009

On June 7-14, 2009, the Silver Serenaders and their friends enjoyed a delightful cruise to Alaska, and as a result raised funds for the Silver Serenaders at no extra cost to the travelers.
At left, Mr Fred Smith (center), owner of Fred & Carol's Traveltime full service travel agency, presented a check for $3000 to Silver Serenaders Treasurer, John Forrest (on far left), and to Artistic Director, Jim Palmer (at right). While Fred is also a member and officer of the Silver Serenaders, it is through his travel agency that this very generous donation was made.
This is the first of many anticipated future fund raising cruises sponsored by Mr. Smith's travel agency that will directly benefit the Silver Serenaders. For every traveler on these future cruises who signs up through Mr. Smith's travel agency as a Silver Serenader guest, a generous portion of the agency commission will be donated to the Silver Serenaders to help it fulfill its mission.
